At Connections Leadership we pride ourselves in creating stimulating FUN learning workshops that are memorable to our clients and that exponentially help them move forward in building knowledge of each other and the work that they are doing together.

The workshops or "away days" as we call them because they are typically away from the workplace can be designed around a theme, at special venues, include celebration; and you can count on the fact that people will collaborate back in the work place much more effectively after they gain knowledge of each other and start to build the foundation of trust.

Team Workshops LOOK like, FEEL like, and SOUND like:

  • People are having fun…there is laughter that leads to connection, creativity, and learning about each other.
  • Each member has become known to the team and feels valued for their unique experiences, knowledge, skills and thoughts; and are contributing the fullness of themselves in their words and actions.
  • Members are engaging at a deep honest level in conversations that are the strength of the tapestry that the team is creating about who they are, what’s important to them, where they are headed, and how they will attain success in their processes.
  • Members participate actively in energetic challenging activities and are willing to take risks in ways that break down the barriers of communication and build strong relationships; that help them become much more creative in solving problems, working through issues together and communicating honestly and openly.
  • The Team Leader is satisfied because the session design has delivered his/her desired results for the session. The time spent will bring rewards to the team in the form of working more effectively together as well as a better under standing of the work that the team is doing.
  • Most workshops will blend a focus on the work of the team as well as energizing team building experiences so that you are appealing to different styles on the team...those who need to feel the session was worthwhile because you moved your business agenda forward, and those who desire an opportunity to get to know each other on a more heartfelt manner.

Paul Clyne, BP Performance Unit Leader, Mid North Sea Business Unit, Aberdeen, Scotland

“I worked with Carolyn for over 3 years on several projects. Within my own team she provided HR support and coaching to help us improve our team behaviours and business processes.

Carolyn was always focused on the business outcome, yet sensitive to people’s needs and feelings. Away days were always fun, with lots of creative energy and laughter. On return to the office Carolyn would remind us of our commitments and encourage us to maintain progress.

My team in Alaska was one of the most successful teams I have lead, and made a demonstrable contribution to business targets.     Carolyn's contribution was a key to that success.

“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success.”
